Tragic Story, Missing Child
This case began a few weeks ago with the abduction of a child from a bedroom window in Leesburg and has snowballed into an even more tragic tale - the apparent suicide of the mother, Melinda Duckett. The parental situation was troubled from the start, with accusations of abuse, arson and other acts thrown about. For information about the situation, this website is a good place to start.
Let's hope the child is found, alive and well.

CNN Footage of 9/11 in Real Time
- The talking heads on CNN did not even address the idea that these were deliberate attacks and suggested that it was some sort of navigational malfunction until interviewing an expert that said that this had to be deliberate. The words "terrorist act" weren't used until 8:19am.
- Although rumors circulated that the first plane was a small engine plane, CNN quickly dismissed this with an eyewitness account - their own VP of Finance that was in the area.
- I personally think that Aaron Brown is doing a good job of staying calm. Yes, I know, it's his job, but he was reporting just as news came in about the Pentagon fire.
- At 9:45 am, Brown claimed that someone was reporting a fire at the Mall in Washington.
Never Forget...

Rest in Peace, Crocodile Hunter!

This piece of news severely bummed me out. To me, this guy represented the conservationist that everyone can appreciate. He did a tremendous job of making everyone aware of nature and the glorious creatures right outside your door. And by all accounts, it wasn't an act or a put on but a real, genuine awe.
I've been trying to find the fantastic ESPN commercial he did with Albert the Alligator, to no avail. If anyone can find it, let me know, will ya?
